Terms of Service

Effective date: 31 August 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the SheetFix website and Google Sheets add-on. By using SheetFix, you agree to these Terms.

1. About SheetFix

SheetFix is a Google Sheets productivity add-on that lets users clean, standardize, and transform text in selected spreadsheet cells.

2. Eligibility and Google account

You must have a valid Google account and be permitted to use Google Sheets and Google Workspace add-ons.

Your use of Google services is also subject to Google’s own terms and policies. SheetFix does not control Google accounts, Google Sheets, Google Workspace, or the Google Workspace Marketplace.

3. How SheetFix works

SheetFix performs user-requested text transformations inside Google Sheets, including case conversion, whitespace cleanup, and removal of line breaks.

SheetFix only performs an operation after you select spreadsheet cells and choose a SheetFix command. Some cells may be skipped when they contain formulas, numbers, dates, boolean values, blanks, or formula-generated output that should not be overwritten.

4. Google Sheets permissions

SheetFix requires access to Google Sheets so it can read selected cell values and relevant cell metadata, perform the transformation you request, and write the result back to eligible cells.

The permission granted by Google may technically allow broader spreadsheet access than SheetFix normally needs for an individual operation. SheetFix is designed to use that access only to provide its spreadsheet functionality.

For more information about data handling and permissions, read the SheetFix Privacy Policy.

5. Acceptable use

You may use SheetFix only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.

You must not attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer, misuse, overload, interfere with, or gain unauthorized access to SheetFix, its deployment, or related services. You must not use SheetFix in a way that violates another person’s rights, applicable law, or Google’s policies.

6. Your spreadsheets and responsibility for data

You remain responsible for the content of your spreadsheets and for deciding when to run a SheetFix transformation.

Although SheetFix includes safeguards intended to avoid modifying unsuitable cells, you should review important spreadsheets and keep appropriate backups or version history before making bulk changes.

You are responsible for verifying that transformed output is suitable for your intended use.

7. Availability and changes

SheetFix may be updated, changed, suspended, or discontinued at any time. Features may change as Google Sheets, Apps Script, Google Workspace Marketplace requirements, or other technical dependencies change.

We do not guarantee that SheetFix will always be available, uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every spreadsheet, browser, account, or future version of Google services.

8. Intellectual property

SheetFix, including its name, branding, website content, interface, and software, is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

These Terms give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use SheetFix for its intended purpose. They do not transfer ownership of SheetFix or its intellectual property to you.

You retain ownership of your spreadsheet content.

9. Third-party services

SheetFix relies on Google services, including Google Sheets, Google Apps Script, and Google APIs. Those services are operated by Google and are governed by Google’s own terms, privacy policies, availability, and technical limitations.

SheetFix is not responsible for outages, changes, restrictions, data loss, or other issues caused by third-party services outside our control.

10. Disclaimer

SheetFix is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the extent permitted by law, we make no warranties, express or implied, regarding uninterrupted availability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, reliability, or error-free operation.

Nothing in these Terms excludes any rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable consumer law.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SheetFix and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or business losses arising from the use of, inability to use, or reliance on SheetFix.

This includes, where legally permitted, loss of data, revenue, profits, business opportunities, or productivity. Nothing in these Terms limits liability where doing so would be unlawful.

12. Termination

You may stop using SheetFix at any time and may remove the add-on or revoke its Google account permissions.

We may restrict or terminate access where reasonably necessary to protect SheetFix, users, third parties, or to comply with legal or platform requirements.

13. Privacy

Your use of SheetFix is also subject to the SheetFix Privacy Policy, which explains how SheetFix handles data and Google permissions.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will be published on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of SheetFix after an update means the revised Terms apply to your subsequent use of the service.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that apply in your country of residence.
